Little Linda became interested in one thing, being a saint and she tried different ways of doing that including dressing like the Virgin Mary and giving out Necco wafers to her playmates. She attended every first Friday Mass, Stations of the Cross and even entered the convent [()] because the persona that most inspired her was that of a "Holy Girl". Her constant question was how can I be one? How can I get close to God? How can I be just like Jesus?

Little Linda's time in the convent was short, two years. During those years she was constantly involved in art projects when not praying, chanting, learning and working. Those two years were an incredibly rich time with hours of silence, one hour talking each day, and the preparation for her favorite thing: Sainthood! But she left the convent really, really thin. Opps again! Little Linda didn't get that one right! Following the convent she went back to college and was inspired by a new mentor, Mother Mary Jane an art teacher/nun who gave Linda permission to fly just like her painter mother did. [()] She created, blossomed, painted, [()], [()], [()] sculpted and learned to communicate in a new way, ending her college studies with a series of sculptures in different media titled "Visitation". WHAT LINDA LEARNED FROM THE YEARS 1953 - 1963

1. Open your heart and say everything on your mind until you feel understood. If you can't do that, make art. Better yet, do both.

2. The soul is quite simple. It wants passionate gentleness. The way it expresses the need and the way it gets it is unique to the soul path of each person.

3. It takes outstanding positive role models/mentors at each life passage to get us through the particular tunnel that we're stuck in.

4. It's satisfying to encourage and inspire a younger person to express their ideas. Sometimes the gift of a drawing book, drawing pencil or box of crayons is all that's needed to jump-start their journey.
